We tried. I took the boys to the mall today to see Santa Clause. They were very excited...we talked a lot about Santa in preparation. I kept asking if they wanted to sit on Santa's lap and they both responded..."Yes." Clearly seeing him in the flesh unleashed the terror. They did not know what that bearded man wanted with them. Santa looks a little freaked out to me. Miles is on the left and Jake is on the right. We'll try again next year...

I love it! I can't wait to show them this picture in 15 years! You're right - Santa looks startled.
We should frame it and hang it next to Lucy's picture from last year. (I have to show you the one from this weekend - she stood next to Santa and allowed him to touch her shoulder!)
Last year I took the Santa pictures at our mom's club party and the Santa was hilarious & very creative. He would have parents of upset children sit in his chair and then he would hide behind it...and pop up right as I took the picture! This guy needs some new tricks!
