The first time we took the boys to get their hair cut it was kind of a nonevent. We went to a very cool and hip barber shop...too cool and hip to bother much with a toddler hair cut. As a result we were left with barbers who were slightly nervous about cutting their hair and didn't really do much. Lately their hair has been difficult to keep out of their eyes and seems to really bother them. So...we tried again today. This time we went to Kid Cuts. That place was ready. There was a train table to play with while they waited, race car chairs, Elmo on the tv...it doesn't get much better than that. Except that someone forgot to tell Miles how cool it was. He. Freaked. Out. I mean really freaked out. Jake was fine, until he saw his brother one car over having a complete breakdown. It all started when the stylist sprayed his hair with water. And it didn't end until he was out of the chair and happily playing with the train table again. As a result I didn't get many pictures, but I had to document the occasion. Luckily my mom was with me because it was a two person job today! I'll get some pictures tomorrow of their cute little faces...you can actually see them now that their hair is a little shorter!
The calm before the storm. Happily playing with trains.
Jake, watching Elmo pre-cut.
This is the early stage of the breakdown. Mother of the year right here...my child was melting down and I was snapping away.
Gripping the steering wheel.
The train table at Kid Cuts was their second of the day. We stopped in at Barnes and Nobel earlier for another train visit. (I don't know why these pictures turned out yellow.)
