What a weekend!

Today Peter and I have been married for six years. I can't believe it. Sometimes it feels like it's barely been a year and sometimes it feels like it's been 10...just kidding! It has been a wonderful 6 years and I'm so lucky to be married to him! We celebrated on Saturday night with dinner out and earlier that day he booked me a massage. What an awesome day! We have had a couple of digital video tapes sitting around of our wedding ceremony and reception that were taken by a coworker of mine at the time, the photographer at the newspaper where I worked. Because they were in a digital tape format we were never able to watch them. Peter tracked them down and had them converted into a dvd and when I came downstairs yesterday we were on tv, walking down the aisle. I was in shock! It was so fun to watch, I was crying and the boys were so excited to be seeing all of their family members on tv. What an amazing surprise. I'm going to watch it over and over.

Granny (Gi-gi) was in town this weekend as well and celebrated a birthday on Saturday. The boys were in heaven with her around and we also got to spend some time with Robyn, Harlan and the Strelitz-Block clan. I wasn't there the whole time so I didn't get many pictures. The boys really wanted to get something special for Granny and they decided on two Elmo balloons (uniting two of their favorite things). They graciously offered to take care of them in case she left them behind. Miles is obsessed with his balloon. Will. Not. Put. It. Down. It has been so funny. At breakfast he fed Elmo pancakes, he read books with him, played with his trucks with him, and so on. Jake didn't want too much to do with him. Today we had a lunch out with the boys and Granny and Peter and I were barely hanging in there. Our dinner went kind of late and we were super tired today. Jake and Miles quickly honed in on that and made us work- especially at lunch. They (mostly Jake) were being hilariously naughty...little smirky grins the whole time. If it was a glimpse of what lies ahead, we have our work cut out for us. Lots of shrieking, giggling, head-butting, grabbing anyone's food they could get their hands on, trying to wriggle out of the booster seat...and on and on and on. But they had a great time, and that's what counts.

Happy six years!

Congrats. Sounds like such a nice weekend. I love the picture of Miles with the ballon in front of his face. Happy Thanksgiving
